Training

SECURETEX works hard to provide its Clients with the best trained officers in the business. Since all security firms draw from the same pool of potential employees, we believe that our emphasis on training gives SECURETEX a significant advantage in providing the best quality of service.

We take all the resulting steps in engaging and training our officers

  • We strive to hire skilled officers who have a proven track record of being a quality employee
  • New employees are required to complete a six-hour, state-mandated training program prior to ever going on post. This focuses concentration on the state security officers’ law, their authorities, and limits of power, and the basic requirements of report writing. All applicants are required to take and effectively pass a printed exam before duty.
  • Prior to ever going on the post, it is mandatory for officers to read and sign a copy of SECURETEX’S Policy and Procedure Manual, which, among other things, frameworks our uniform and appearance requirements, guidelines of personal conduct and general instructions for all post assignments.
  • Our management will work closely with the client to develop precise post orders for each job site. Officers will receive and sign a copy of the specific post orders and will be fully trained in that post by staff supervisors until the officer understands the requirements of the post and signs off to that effect. A copy of the signed post orders is retained in the officer's file.

After an officer is given his post:

  • A ground supervisor will check on the officer frequently to monitor his presence and routine and to verify that there are no unofficial items or doings on post.
  • A ground supervisor will also meet the officer on the job site during his opening shift to show the officer the post, its requirements, and response any of the officer’s requests or concerns.
  • A ground supervisor will frequently check with a client relationship, if accessible, to verify that the client is satisfied with the security officers’ performance. Any displeasure will be corrected immediately and reported to the command supervisor for permanent rectification.
